Another band got such high praise from Rolling Stone magazine, giving them more attention then any other group in the magazine's history. And of course the most influencial Canadian musician. Monday May 10th Honouring those who have been named to the Order of Canada. The highest honour a Canadian can get, and there are a few rock stars who can claim that honour. Including one band who's each member was individually made Officers. Plus Stompin' Tom Conners, Bryan Adams and Tom Cochrane.
Tuesday May 11th New music Tuesday. Tonight going to hear new tunes from The Trews, Die Mannequin, Arkells and Crash Karma. It's tunes you can only hear here on 100% Beaver.
Wednesday May 12th Tonight we put the CD player on random and see what pops up.
Thursday May 13th May 14th and Tom Cochrane celebrates his birthday, born in Lynn Lake Manitoba. Going to hear from some other West coast rockers tonight. Including Econoline Crush, Trooper, Nickelback and BTO. Plus one band that is named after a city in BC.

Monday May 3rd Heading back to 1970 and The Guess Who topped the charts with American Woman. The first Canadian hit to top the charts in the States. American Woman was famously covered by Lenny Kravitz, who won a Grammy for his version. Tonight we feature other Canadian cover tunes including covers from The Band, The Stones, Elton John, Metallica, and more.
Tuesday May 4th It's new Tuesday, and that means nothing but new rock, from Crash Karma, James Kasper, Dean Lickyer, Danko Jones, Fear Zero and Lance Bedard. Tunes you can only hear here on 100% Beaver.
Wednesday May 5th The year was 1981 and we got the self titled debut disc from Loverboy. Loverboy is certified Gold in Canada, and on May 20th, they were honoured with a party in New York by Columbia Records in recognition of their debut lp sellling over half a million copies in the States. Tonight we hear from other Canadian rockers who have released self titled albums, from April Wine and Rush, to Billy Talent and Flash Lightnin'.
Thursday May 6th Record-breaking Canadian artists. Including one artist who spent a record-breaking sixteen weeks at number one. An album that was recorded in a record-breaking ten days. And Randy Bachman lead 1,322 of amateur guitarists in a rendition of Taking Care of Business that lasted 68 minutes. Breaking the record for the largest number of people to simultaneously play the same song.

Monday April 26th Happy Birthday to Jerry Mercer of April Wine fame. Born April 27th in 1949 on a farm in rural Newfoundland. And tonight, going to hear from other rockers who proudly call the East Coast home, including Sloan, The Trews and Matt Mays. It's going to be a kitchen party tonight!
Tuesday April 27th New Music Tuesday. And back by popular demand, new music from Lance Bedard. I havn't played a track on new music Tuesday that has made this much noise. Love it! Thursday April 29th It was 1961, and Bob Dylan took to the stage with The Hawks in Stockholm, Sweden for the first time. SIX more weeks of dates followed as they toured across Europe. That tour is still noted as one of rock's most historic tours. We'll celebrate tonight. And maybe April 29th was a good day for making history in Rock n Roll. It was this day in 1983 that Triumph premiered Never Surrender simultaneously on seven radio station across Canada. It was the first nationwide live radio network of it's kind. Making history tonight, with 100% Beaver.

Thursday April 22nd As Big Music Fest was announced so were a couple of other huge summer festivals. We'll take a look at our summer concert series. Including one Canadian band who is opening up for one of the biggest Supergroups! Details only tonight!

Monday April 12th A couple of Canuck birthdays to celebrate today. Happy Birthday to Rob Baker, guitarist for the Tragically Hip, born in 1962 in beautiful Kingston, Ontario. Also born on this day Joachim Krauledat in Tilsit Germany. Moved to Canada in 1958, changed his name to John Kay, and joined Steppenwolf. Happy Birthday! Today's show is brought to you by the letter "K". And surprisingly lots of tunes about Kids, Killers, a couple of Kisses and at least one King. Plus we'll hear from Kroeger, Kim, Krome and Karma. O yea...and lots of Krista!

Thursday April 15th This Sunday, it's all about the best in new Canadian music with the 2010 Juno Awards. And Canadian rock music is well represented this year. Including nominees in Fans Choice, Album and Single of the Year. Plus we'll hear from all nominees in the Rock Album of the Year category. One rock band is getting inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and another is getting the Humanitarian Award. Going to hear from Canadian rockers who will hopefully be making some acceptance speechs on Sunday in Newfoundland at the 2010 Juno Awards!

Thursday April 8th Beaver Tails tonight. 1972 saw a Canadian with a Heart of Gold top the charts. Fast forward to 1973 and that same Canuck released a collection of home movies which he says "is a collection of thoughts, and every scene meant something - although with some, I can't say what." In 1975, Rush opening for Kiss. What other Canadian bands have opened for Kiss? Including one band who made their debut on stage with Kiss. And another who was granted $10,000 from Gene Simmons.
